The brief was to create an internal communications campaign that would encourage employees to answer their telephones, without focusing on the negative effects the issue has on business. The campaign function was to draw staff members’ focus back to the importance of their work to grow industries, the telephone being a key resource. Our resolve was to highlight the possibilities that arise by answering the telephone and having those initial conversations with potential clients. For the communications to feel more direct and relevant, we translated this visually for each sector, using a telephone chord to form icons representative of each industry catered to by the IDC.
